Job Description:

Our staffing agency represents a family-owned, growing construction company. The company specializes in hospitality projects in and around the Chicagoland area and also all over the country. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage hospitality construction projects.

Role:

  • Project Oversight: Supervise hospitality construction projects, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, on time, and within budget.
  • Budget Management: Work with budgets, estimates, and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Scheduling: Develop and control the master schedule in collaboration with the Principal in Charge, ensuring all project milestones are met.
  • Documentation Management: Manage the shop drawing/submittal schedule, RFIs, and scope development.
  • Leadership: Lead on-site meetings, manage bid packages, pay estimates, change orders, and oversee the entire project lifecycle.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, government entities, and all stakeholders involved in the project.

Required:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a superintendent managing hospitality projects valued between $2-$10 million.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in submittal preparation, tracking, and the ability to read blueprints. Experience with project management software and managing subcontractors.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
