DESCRIPTION:
Premier luxury hotel property in San Francisco is currently seeking a dynamic, floor-focused Food & Beverage Manager to lead our morning and daytime operations. As a primary "Manager on Duty" (MOD), you will be the face of our sustainable hospitality mission, ensuring that every guest interaction—from the first cup of coffee to a private breakfast in-room—is seamless, natural, and elevated.
This is a versatile leadership role designed for a proactive supervisor who excels in the rhythm of a high-end hotel and thrives on being "in the mix" with both guests and team members.
You will work as a collaborative MOD alongside our Beverage and Events Managers. Your primary focus is the heartbeat of our daytime service: the restaurant, In-Room Dining, and the Mini Bar program, with occasional support for banquet functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Act as the go-to contact for F&B team members and guests, spending the majority of your shift on the floor to ensure 5-star service standards.
- Multi-Outlet Management: Oversee daily operations for full service restaurant, In-Room Dining, and the Mini Bar, ensuring brand consistency and guest satisfaction.
- Administrative Support: Handle essential "behind-the-scenes" tasks including labor scheduling, payroll processing, inventory management, and OS&E ordering.
- Collaboration: Partner with the culinary and events teams to execute flawless banquet functions and special activations.
Schedule & Environment
- Shifts primarily begin at 6:00 AM.
- Availability: Weekend availability is required to support our busiest service periods.
- Flexibility: While focused on daytime, you must be willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour hotel operation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years in an F&B supervisory or management role.
- Previous experience in a high-end hotel, resort, social club, or similar luxury hospitality environment.
- Prior experience working with Local 2 labor unions is strongly preferred.
- Local candidates with San Francisco market experience are preferred; relocation may be considered for top-tier talent.
- Must be able to work weekends and be flexible to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
- Strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, and a proactive approach to guest relations and problem-solving.
BENEFITS:
- Competitive annual salary of $80-85K+
- Company-paid health plan, plus Medical, Dental, and Vision options.
- 401k with company match, plus company-paid Life, AD&D, Long-Term, and Short-Term Disability.
