DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an outstanding, entrepreneurial, and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead the pre-opening, launch, and ongoing operations of a premier luxury destination in Turks & Caicos. This leader is responsible for delivering a world-class guest and homeowner experience, building a high-performing team, driving financial performance, and positioning the property as the leading luxury hospitality destination in the region. The role oversees all aspects of operations for the hotel, residences, and restaurants, acting as an inspirational leader who engages employees across the organization to deliver impeccable service.
Core Responsibilities —
- Oversees all hospitality departments including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Engineering, Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Residential Services.
- Manages the recruitment and development of a world-class leadership team in coordination with ownership.
- Leads pre-opening activities including budgeting, staffing, permitting, training, and the installation of OS&E.
- Establishes a culture of excellence and personalized luxury service, aiming for Michelin-level standards or equivalent ultra-luxury benchmarks.
- Develops and executes strategies to deliver group, transient, and residential room sales targets while driving a profitable restaurant and events business.
- Serves as the primary liaison for residence owners, overseeing HOA implementation, management, and world-class residential reporting systems.
- Acts as an inspirational public face and ambassador for the property within the local community.
Operational Involvement —
The General Manager ensures the property functions as a masterpiece of architectural harmony and service by:
- Integrating opening plans with construction and building delivery timetables.
- Implementing high-end, anticipatory residential service models for villa guests and owners.
- Managing monthly operational budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term planning to exceed financial targets.
- Implementing strategic revenue management systems and analyzing market data to underpin growth.
- Handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a complex, high-pressure environment with multiple priorities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10–15 years of experience leading high-end luxury hospitality organizations.
- Proven track record of successfully opening luxury hospitality properties and delivering high-end residential products.
- Prior experience in the Caribbean or an island market with strong knowledge of independent, non-affiliated organizational structures.
- Undergraduate degree required; an MBA is preferred.
- Highly entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive bias for action and results.
- Exceptional business integrity and the professional stature to command respect both inside and outside the company.
