We’re seeking a Senior Tactical Simulation Software Engineer for an innovative defense technology client specializing in advanced, mission-adaptable simulation platforms. This role offers the unique opportunity to work remotely or from our client’s San Diego office, developing a state-of-the-art tactical simulation system. You’ll work alongside an expert team, building immersive simulations designed for multi-domain operational scenarios in support of mission planning, rehearsal, and execution.
What You’ll Do:
• Develop and enhance a sophisticated tactical simulation platform using Unity, creating dynamic and realistic virtual environments.
• Implement physics-based predictive analysis for scientifically accurate operational scenarios.
• Interpret complex algorithms to develop real-time physical simulations and ensure optimal runtime performance across platforms.
• Integrate SDKs and APIs for real-time data processing, enhancing system interoperability with defense operator tools.
• Collaborate with engineers, physicists, and project leads to create scalable, modular software architectures and robust simulation frameworks.
• Enhance AI/ML capabilities within the simulation, optimizing for target recognition, damage assessment, and wargaming scenarios.
What You’ll Bring:
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with a strong focus on Unity development.
• Proficiency in modern C#, multi-platform build processes, and real-time systems.
• Extensive experience in physics-based simulations, computational physics, and distributed microservices.
• Strong background in multi-threaded applications, SDK integration, and system interoperability.
• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a high-level U.S. Government security clearance.
Preferred Experience:
• Proficiency in UI/UX design for immersive simulations.
• Knowledge of advanced Unity features and AI/ML algorithms for simulation enhancement.
• Experience with defense communication protocols and simulation tools such as TAK.
