Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Founding Team)

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our elite founding team, driving infrastructure development and serving as a technical leader. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in backend infrastructure and a proven ability to lead engineering teams in fast-paced, high-talent-density environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and scale robust backend infrastructure for enterprise-level deployments, supporting both cloud-based and hybrid environments.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring engineers while remaining a strong individual contributor.
- Ensure infrastructure meets stringent requirements for security, compliance, and reliability tailored to enterprise clients.
- Collaborate closely with founding team members, aligning technical architecture with strategic company objectives.
- Participate actively in shaping our engineering culture and best practices.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, primarily focused on backend infrastructure.
- Significant experience as a technical leader, ideally managing teams of up to 10 engineers.
- Proven track record developing and shipping enterprise SaaS products, preferably at companies renowned for high engineering standards (e.g., Palantir, Databricks, Scale).
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, scalable API design, and infrastructure tailored to enterprise-grade deployments (on-prem/hybrid/cloud).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a top-tier institution.
- Solid programming fundamentals, adaptability across tech stacks, and an appreciation of AI-driven systems (basic understanding preferred, though not mandatory).
Candidate Attributes:
- Comfortable working fully onsite (5 days a week) in our San Francisco office.
- History of professional stability (ideally with employment periods of 2+ years per role).
- Predominantly individual contributor roles with a maximum of one year in pure managerial roles.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $210,000 – $300,000 annually, plus equity.
