Geometric Computer Vision Engineer – Remote (US Citizens)

We are seeking a Geometric Computer Vision Engineer to join a growing US-based team that is teaching machines to see. The company builds advanced real-time 3D perception systems that power autonomy and robotics across industries including automotive, defense, healthcare, and agriculture. Backed by top-tier investors and already revenue-generating, this is an opportunity to join a highly technical, mission-driven environment at the forefront of computer vision innovation.

About the Role

As a Computer Vision Engineer, you’ll work on core perception technologies such as real-time 3D reconstruction, visual-inertial odometry, pose estimation, and sensor fusion. You’ll design, implement, and optimize algorithms that allow machines to perceive their environment in dense, semantic 3D — all while writing high-performance C++ production code for GPUs and parallel computing environments.

This is a full-time remote role within the US, with occasional travel (<5%) and preference for candidates who can align with PST hours.

Responsibilities

  • Develop state-of-the-art algorithms for perception, 3D geometry, and real-time reconstruction.
  • Implement production-quality C++ code across CPU and GPU platforms.
  • Analyze performance and failure modes of computer vision algorithms, iterating for robustness and scalability.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers on projects spanning autonomy, defense, and robotics.
  • Potentially lead and mentor future team members as the group expands.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years’ experience in software engineering with direct exposure to 3D geometric problems.
  • Experience in pose estimation, calibration, and sensor fusion.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related technical field.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ with willingness to write production code.
  • Solid mathematical foundation in 3D geometry and linear algebra.
  • Familiarity with parallel programming frameworks (CUDA, Metal, or OpenCL).
  • Able to work remotely with PST alignment and collaborate effectively across a distributed team.
  • Eligible to work on US defense-related projects (US citizen or green card holder).

Traits to Avoid

  • Research-only backgrounds without 1–2 years of industry implementation experience.
  • Pure ML/AI model engineers — this role is focused on geometry, perception, and engineering execution.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $155,000 – $205,000
  • Equity: Included
  • Work Policy: Remote within the US (visa sponsorship not available)
  • Travel: Up to 5%
