This is a chance to join a high growth international fragrance house who are operations globally. The company have recently invested significantly in the team along with the latest GCMS and automated compounding equipment.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage the UK Analytical team, and coordinate and support Analytical teams in India, USA and Barcelona.
• Analysis of market products and fragrance concentrates using GCMS
• Analysis of raw materials and bases for regulatory purposes
• Expand the GCMS library of raw materials and competitor products
• Optimise analytical and sample extraction methods
• Work closely with perfumers and evaluators
• Assist with calibration and maintenance of Agilent GC-MS equipment

Ideal Candidate:

• Degree or master’s in chemistry or other industry related qualification
• Track record of applied technical experience in fragrance analysis
• Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, GCMS techniques and softwares (knowledge of Agilent systems; Chemstation and MassHunter are helpful)
• Previous experience in a management role
• Good communication skills and ability to work within, train and motivate the analyst team
• Experience in fragrance duplication for different segments: homecare, fine fragrance, personal care
• Knowledge of extraction techniques and sample preparation
