Job Title: Vice President of Operations

Location: Chicago, IL (Relocation Assistance Available)


A highly regarded, multi-concept, multi-unit restaurant group with over a dozen locations across multiple states is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Operations to join its senior leadership team. Known for delivering exceptional hospitality, culinary excellence, and operational consistency, this privately held organization generates over $200M+ in annual revenues and is poised for measured strategic growth.


The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Operations will lead all aspects of operational performance, driving excellence across 13 high-volume units representing multiple unique concepts. This role will partner closely with the executive team to execute the company’s strategic plan, including expansion initiatives, process optimization, etc.


The position requires a leader who can balance strategic vision with hands-on oversight, ensuring both top-line growth and operational efficiency while maintaining an uncompromising standard of guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-unit operations to achieve best-in-class performance in hospitality, quality, and profitability.
  • Execute strategic initiatives including technology integration (Restaurant365), SOP refinement, and expansion projects.
  • Drive consistent operational standards across diverse concepts while allowing for brand individuality.
  • Monitor and manage KPIs including labor %, COGS, guest satisfaction, inspections, and EBITDA.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in HR, Finance, and Marketing to align operations with business objectives.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and hospitality excellence.


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 15+ years of progressive, senior-level leadership in multi-unit restaurant or hospitality operations, with recent VP or SVP experience.
  • Proven track record managing $200M+ in revenues across multiple concepts and geographic markets.
  • Strong P&L management, operational systems implementation, and process improvement expertise.
  • Skilled in building and leading high-performing teams in a hospitality-forward culture.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with a commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction.
  • Chicago-based or willing to relocate (relocation assistance provided).


Compensation & Benefits

  • $250,000 – $300,000 base salary, DOE
  • 30% annual bonus potential
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee + dependents
