Construction Safety Manager
Location: Denver, CO - 80% domestic travel
Type: Direct Hire - FTE
Compensation: $70-90k base
Benefits: 401k (3% match of 100% contributions; additional 2% match on 50% contributions), Medical, 20 days PTO)
Our client is seeking an experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to support safety initiatives across multiple construction projects throughout the United States. This is a hands-on, field-based position requiring frequent travel to project locations.
The Safety & Compliance Manager will partner with project leadership, field personnel, and customers to identify potential risks, strengthen safety practices, and ensure projects maintain compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a proactive safety culture and reinforce safe work practices across project teams.
- Travel regularly to project locations to conduct safety reviews, inspections, and compliance assessments.
- Perform field observations and identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Facilitate recurring safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
- Partner with leadership and project teams to establish, improve, and implement safety procedures.
- Work directly with customers and project stakeholders to ensure safety expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
- Track corrective actions and follow up to ensure issues are properly addressed.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, training documentation, and compliance materials.
- Provide guidance on incident prevention, hazard recognition, and regulatory requirements.
- Help maintain safe, organized, and professional job-site conditions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably supporting complex or large-scale projects such as data centers, industrial facilities, mining, infrastructure, or other highly regulated environments.
- Safety certification such as CSP, CHST, STS, or similar is preferred.
- OSHA 30-hour training or OSHA 500/510 certification required.
- MSHA certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of applicable workplace safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, project leadership, and customers.
- Ability to travel extensively to project locations throughout the U.S.
- Valid driver's license and reliable ability to travel between job sites.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with construction technology and safety platforms such as Procore, safety management software, or similar applications.
