Production Test Engineer / Manufacturing Test Engineer

Location: Onsite in Austin, TX

Duration: FTE - Direct Hire

We are looking for a hands-on Production Test Engineer to design and execute manufacturing test processes for advanced hardware systems. This role ensures products meet quality, reliability, and scalability requirements as they move into production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage test procedures, scripts, and fixtures for hardware and PCBA systems
• Lead system-level and component-level testing and validation
• Support failure analysis and troubleshooting for product and process issues
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalable test solutions for production
• Provide hands-on technical support for test systems and equipment
• Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers on test requirements
• Track performance metrics and maintain documentation for test results
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Qualifications

• 8+ years in test engineering, manufacturing test, or related roles
• Experience designing, automating, and maintaining test equipment and fixtures
• Skilled in creating test plans, procedures, and validation documentation
• Hands-on experience with PCB assembly, control systems testing, and automated test scripts
• Familiarity with CAD software and LabVIEW or similar platforms a plus
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
