Responsibilities

• Ensure strategic direction, operational, and quality goals are achieved
• Analyze category spend and vendor contracts to identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership and optimize vendor value
• Create and implement category and vendor strategies, with a focus on information technology services
• Partner with the business to evaluate outsourcing opportunities to meet long-term objectives and strategic plan
• Execute negotiation strategies with vendors
• Collaborate with legal for support in leading complex contract creation, negotiation and execution
• Provide current data on industry intel and best practices
• Offer guidance on alternative supply sources
• Build strategic vendor relationships based on the needs of the business
• Develop business case scenarios based on resource requirements
• Design and implement source to pay technologies
• Manage procurement/sourcing and stakeholder engagement, delegating and monitoring tasks through completion
• Interact with all levels of management, vendors and regulators

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• CPM, MBA or relevant Master’s degree, preferred
• 12+ years of relevant sourcing and category management experience for a large-scale operation.
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing and contracting for IT and adjacent categories
• Experience sourcing for one of the following is required: call center services, default services, valuation services, or claims services.
• Business process outsourcing and vendor offshoring operations a plus.
• Experience in the banking or mortgage industry preferred.
• Proven ability to efficiently gather facts, perform root cause analysis, and draw accurate conclusions
• Proven success leading major strategic sourcing and vendor management programs.
• Deep category management and sourcing knowledge and experience.
• Superior contract/vendor negotiation preparation and execution skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
