Position Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Nights)

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse assumes primary responsibility for total care of assigned clients in the respective unit. Responsibilities include assessment, nursing diagnoses, plan of care formulation, implementation of care, and evaluation of care. Initiates health care training and education to clients/families as required, supporting the goals of Andalusia Health and the Department of Nursing. Provides leadership and direction to team members, maintains optimal standards of nursing care, and supervises other licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel. Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays. Responsible for providing age-specific and diagnosis-appropriate care to all patient populations.

Minimum Education:

Associate’s degree in Nursing required

Required Skills:

• Ability to function in stressful situations
• Verbal ability to present information and ideas related to nursing theory and practice
• Ability to accept responsibility and accountability to provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with leadership qualities
• Cognitive and practical ability to provide nursing care appropriate to the patient population, considering age and diagnosis
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Licenses: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama
• BLS/CPR required within 30 days of hire date, ACLS required within 6 months of employment

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends

Salary Range: $41,200.00 - $63,835.00 USD (Confidential)

Signing Bonus: $15,000 with 2-year commitment
