Clinical Expertise: Provide expert consultation and guidance to nurses and other healthcare providers in the CVICU.
Education & Mentorship: Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, ensuring competency and adherence to best practices in cardiovascular care.
Research & Evidence-Based Practice: Lead research initiatives and translate evidence-based findings into practice to improve patient care in the CVICU.
Quality Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care processes and outcomes, and lead initiatives to implement change in the CVICU.
System Improvement: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall quality of care in the CVICU.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
Master's degree in a clinical field of nursing or a related clinical field (e.g., psychology, public health, social work, education, health sciences, behavioral sciences, nutrition, bioethics) from a nationally accredited master's/post-master's nursing academic program.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the area of clinical specialty (CVICU or critical care).
Licensure/Certification:
Active Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Certificate in California.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in California.
Current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
ACLS or PALS Certification.
