Intensive In-Home & Community Behavior Consultant

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Daytime Hours | No Weekends or On-Call

Career Connections Recruiting is partnering with a leading, mission-driven provider of adult autism and developmental disability services to hire a compassionate, strengths-based Behavior Consultant (BC) for their Intensive In-Home & Community program.

This organization is expanding a constructional, strengths-based ABA model into home and community settings. As the clinical lead, you’ll work directly with adults and caregivers in the environments where skill-building, stability, and meaningful change happen most.

You’ll partner with families, improve daily routines, strengthen autonomy, and support individuals as they grow toward community participation, day services, or employment opportunities—all while maintaining a small caseload that allows for connection, creativity, and clinical excellence.

Why This Role is Exceptional

  • Impact where it matters most — work directly in homes and community settings to improve daily life, independence, and family stability.
  • Deep, meaningful relationships with adults and caregivers—this is high-touch, high-trust work with visible progress.
  • Small caseload + strong clinical support means you can focus on quality over volume.
  • Predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule — no evenings, weekends, on-call, or overnights.
  • A forward-thinking ABA model emphasizing strengths, autonomy, dignity, and long-term quality of life.
  • Robust compensation & benefits including competitive salary, strong health package, PTO, retirement plan, paid travel, and mileage.
  • Mentorship and growth from experienced BCBAs and BCBA-Ds.
  • A culture grounded in compassion, ethical practice, and respect.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct functional and skills-based assessments using a constructional, strengths-based ABA framework.
  • Develop and oversee person-centered behavior support plans (PCBSPs) focused on skill acquisition, autonomy, and least-restrictive supports.
  • Provide compassionate coaching to families, DSPs, and Behavior Consultant Assistants.
  • Analyze progress data, modify plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Develop least-restrictive crisis strategies that prioritize dignity and safety.
  • Model a compassionate care culture centered on client rights, respect, and communication.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in alignment with ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the clinical lead across home and community environments.
