AI Engineer

As our first AI Engineer you will put intelligence at the centre of that mission, turning data into designs, certifications and decisions that actually close the loop.

• Ship production-grade models that predict material recyclability, durability and disassembly scores with >90 % accuracy within six months, directly informing every new collection.
• Build and own an end-to-end ML pipeline that ingests supplier, lab and lifecycle data, reducing time-to-certification by 40 % in the first year.
• Prototype generative-design tools that propose circular alternatives (DfD, Dualcycle-compatible constructions) and quantify their environmental impact before a single sample is cut.
• Deploy real-time risk and compliance models that flag non-circular inputs at the point of specification, cutting audit rework by half.
• Establish MLOps practices (versioning, monitoring, retraining) so models stay accurate as our material library and partner network grow 3×.
• Translate model outputs into simple dashboards and APIs that designers, architects and certification teams can use daily without a data-science background.

You will report directly to the founder, work as a core member of a 1–10 person team in Siselen, Switzerland, and have full ownership of cloud budget, tooling choices (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, GCP/AWS) and external research partnerships. Early-stage resources mean you choose the stack; impact means every model ships into real products.

• Proven track record shipping supervised or generative models that improved a physical-product or manufacturing KPI (waste, yield, certification time).
• Hands-on experience with materials, supply-chain or sustainability datasets—chemical composition, LCA, or textile testing data preferred.
• Ability to move from notebook to production API or dashboard in weeks, not quarters.
• Comfort operating without a large data-science team: you will collect, clean and label as well as model.
• Fluent English; German or French a plus for Swiss and EU partners.
