Senior Product Manager - On-Device Payments & OS (Maternity Cover)


Contract: Fixed-Term (8 - 12 Months)

Location: London (4 days per week in-office)


We are exclusively partnering with a leading FinTech company, a true innovator in the payments space, to find their next Senior Product Manager for a crucial maternity cover contract.


Our client is dedicated to empowering businesses by creating technology that turns simple transactions into meaningful relationships. They are now seeking a talented product leader to take ownership of their on-device payment experience and make an immediate, tangible impact.


This is a high-priority role with a fast-tracked interview process, and our client is ready to move quickly for the right candidate.


The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who will hold complete ownership of the end-to-end user experience at the point of sale. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape every merchant and customer touchpoint—from checkout and refunds to device settings—while ensuring the underlying operating system is stable, reliable, and built to scale.


The successful candidate will partner closely with the client's Design and Brand teams to build and apply a cohesive design system, setting a new standard for in-person payments and ensuring every interaction is intuitive and frictionless.


What You'll Do

  • Lead the On-Device Experience: Drive the product strategy for all core payment flows, including refunds, receipts, integrations, and user settings.
  • Shape the Device OS Platform: Own the roadmap for the core device software, including the launcher, settings, updater, and the SDKs that power the ecosystem.
  • Champion User-Centric Design: Collaborate with the Design team to implement a world-class design system, ensuring every flow is accessible, intuitive, and frictionless.
  • Guarantee Quality & Reliability: Oversee end-to-end device testing, firmware validation, staged rollouts, and rapid-response fixes to maintain a high-quality user experience.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Delivery: Work closely with Devices, Integrations, Operations, and Compliance teams to ship predictable, high-quality releases.


What Our Client is Looking For

  • Proven Product Experience: 3+ years in product management with a focus on mobile, embedded, or Android-class applications.
  • Design Systems Expert: A deep understanding of design systems and how to apply them to create seamless, end-to-end customer journeys.
  • Regulated Domain Expertise: Experience working in high-reliability or regulated environments such as payments, PCI, or EMV is highly desirable.
  • Technical Acumen: A strong background in modern release practices, including feature flags, staged rollouts, and telemetry to ensure release quality.
  • Collaborative Leader: A track record of working effectively across Engineering, Design, Compliance, and Ops to ship exceptional products.
  • Calm Under Pressure: You possess clear judgment, excellent communication skills, and a bias for action in a fast-paced environment.
