Technical Project Manager, Delivery, QA & Automation | via Numi
Remote (UK based) | Full time | Reports to the CTO
The opportunity
Our client is a fast growing hospitality and venue technology company. It builds cloud software that runs real venues and connects to hardware out in the field. They need a Technical Project Manager who has written and shipped code and now wants to run delivery across a small, fast moving product team. This is a doing role, not a reporting role. You own what’s in flight, what’s blocked, what ships next and whether it works.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning the delivery plan end to end across an internal operations platform and a customer facing booking, availability and pricing app
- Running the day to day workload across developers, designers and external integration partners
- Leading QA: writing test plans, reproducing and documenting defects, and tracking fixes through to verified closure
- Building automation that removes manual work, such as CI checks, test harnesses, release scripts, status reporting and alerting
- Reading pull requests and specs closely enough to challenge scope, estimates and edge cases
- Running stand ups, sprint reviews and release readiness checks, and keeping trackers, runbooks and the decision log current
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years delivering software projects, plus real development experience. You have shipped production code yourself
- Fluency in a scripting language such as Python or TypeScript, and comfort with Git, the command line and CI pipelines
- Proven QA ownership: test planning, structured bug reporting, regression discipline and release sign off
- A track record delivering cloud or SaaS products, ideally multi tenant web apps that customers use every day
- Practical Agile experience, using Scrum or Kanban as a tool rather than a rulebook
- Strong with ClickUp, Notion, Linear, Jira or similar, and willing to set them up properly
- Based in the UK with the right to work, and able to travel occasionally for team sessions and venue visits
Bonus points if you have
- Built internal tooling: API integrations, webhooks, scheduled jobs or LLM assisted workflows
- Worked with AWS or GCP and observability tooling
- Exposure to booking, scheduling, pricing or payment systems, or products connected to devices in the field
- A background in hospitality, gaming or venue technology
What success looks like
- 30 days: you know every workstream, its owner and its true status, and the tracker reflects reality
- 60 days: releases follow a repeatable QA and sign off process, and fewer defects reach production
- 90 days: at least two recurring manual processes are automated, and the CTO no longer chases status
What’s on offer
- Remote working from the UK, with occasional travel
- Direct line to the CTO
