Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to join our growing team. As an NEMT Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients with varying medical needs, including those using wheelchairs or requiring moderate assistance, to their scheduled appointments. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to punctuality, exceptional customer service, and a deep sense of empathy for our clients.
Responsibilities:

Safe Transportation: Operate company vehicles (vans, sedans, wheelchair-accessible vehicles) in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Client Assistance: Provide respectful and professional assistance to clients, including helping them in and out of the vehicle, securing wheelchairs, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.

Punctuality and Scheduling: Adhere strictly to transportation schedules, ensuring clients arrive at their appointments on time and are picked up promptly afterward. Communicate any delays or issues immediately.

Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and report any maintenance needs or mechanical issues promptly.

Documentation: Accurately complete all required trip logs, mileage reports, and client documentation.

Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch, clients, and their caregivers.

Adherence to Regulations: Comply with all HIPAA regulations, patient privacy laws, and company policies regarding client care and confidentiality.

Problem Solving: Address any unforeseen issues or challenges during transport with calm and effective problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for at least [e.g., 3-5] years.

- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Experience in a transportation, healthcare, or customer service role preferred.

- Ability to lift and assist clients as needed (within physical limitations and safety guidelines).
- Familiarity with GPS navigation and routing software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Ability to assist clients with mobility, including pushing wheelchairs, and providing steadying support.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to [e.g., 50] pounds when assisting clients or handling equipment.
- Good vision and hearing, corrected as necessary.
