Role Overview
TURNBRIDGE is seeking a Cloud Engineer / Architect to design, build, and operate a secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environment that supports consulting delivery, internal innovation, and client-facing solutions.
This role bridges architecture and hands-on execution, owning cloud strategy while ensuring day-to-day systems operate reliably and efficiently. You will play a critical role in enabling business growth, AI initiatives, and consulting engagements—without introducing unnecessary risk or complexity.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and evolve a cloud strategy aligned with business growth, consulting delivery, and emerging capabilities (including AI and agent-based systems)
- Build and maintain a forward-looking cloud roadmap balancing scalability, cost efficiency, and execution speed
- Partner with leadership to prioritize investments in cloud infrastructure and platforms
Architecture & Platform Design
- Design and maintain scalable cloud architectures across platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services
- Establish and enforce architecture standards across networking, identity, data, and application layers
- Define and manage patterns for multi-environment setups, including:
- Production environments
- Internal tools
- Client demo and sandbox environments
- Lead the design of API frameworks and integration patterns across internal and external systems
Security, Compliance & Risk Management
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and monitoring

- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and client expectations (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA where applicable)
- Partner with Security and Legal teams to translate technical risks into clear business implications
Cloud Operations & Performance
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Monitor system performance and proactively address bottlenecks and failure risks
- Implement automation for provisioning, scaling, and system health monitoring
- Act as escalation point for critical cloud incidents and outages
AI & Emerging Technology Enablement
- Support development and deployment of internal AI tools, including agent-based workflows and automation systems
- Design infrastructure to support AI workloads (data pipelines, APIs, model integrations)
- Evaluate and integrate emerging cloud-native AI services
Demo & Sandbox Environment Governance
- Create and maintain a governance model for isolated environments used in:
- Client demos
- Prototypes
- Proofs of concept
- Ensure strict separation between corporate and demo environments
- Enable rapid provisioning of clean, repeatable environments for consulting teams
Financial Management & Optimization
- Monitor and report on cloud consumption and costs
- Implement cost optimization strategies (rightsizing, reserved instances, usage tracking)
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation of cloud expenses
- Provide visibility into cost drivers and ROI of cloud investments
SaaS & Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with key SaaS and cloud vendors
- Oversee licensing, renewals, and usage optimization
- Evaluate new tools and platforms to support internal and consulting needs
Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track key cloud and IT performance metrics (uptime, cost efficiency, deployment speed)
- Build dashboards and reporting for leadership visibility
- Continuously improve cloud architecture, processes, and tooling based on usage and feedback
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or infrastructure roles
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services
