Role Overview
TURNBRIDGE is seeking a Snowflake ETL Technical Lead to guide the architecture, development, and delivery of a modern enterprise data platform. This role combines hands‑on Snowflake expertise with technical leadership, product ownership, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions. The ideal candidate drives engineering excellence while enabling a high-performing data team.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership and Architecture
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
- Architect secure, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Define data modeling approaches including Dimensional, Data Vault, and Hybrid models.
- Establish standards for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and performance tuning.
- Ensure governance, lineage, quality, and compliance best practices.
- Drive CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor data engineering teams.
ETL and Data Engineering
- Develop complex ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake Tasks, Streams, Snowpipe, Python, SQL, and/or Spark.
- Integrate structured and semi-structured data including JSON, XML, and Parquet.
- Build scalable batch and real-time pipelines.
- Optimize Snowflake performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement validation, reconciliation, and monitoring frameworks.
Product Ownership and Stakeholder Leadership
- Act as the product owner for the data platform.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data engineering solutions.
- Define product roadmaps and prioritize enhancements.
- Partner with business, analytics, and IT stakeholders.
- Ensure deliverables meet KPIs, SLAs, and strategic objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement and platform innovation.
Project and Team Leadership
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture and cloud engineering teams.
- Manage technical dependencies, estimation, and delivery timelines.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of ETL/Data Engineering experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on enterprise experience with Snowflake.
- Proven leadership in complex data transformation programs.
- Advanced SQL and query optimization skills.
- Expertise in Dimensional and Data Vault modeling.
- Strong knowledge of Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
- Understanding of secure data architectures including RBAC, masking, and encryption.
- Experience with data governance, metadata, and lineage frameworks.
- Prior experience as a technical lead, architect, or platform owner.
- Background managing product lifecycle and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Snowflake SnowPro certification (Advanced preferred).
- Experience with dbt or modern ELT frameworks.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or other real-time streaming tools.
- Agile Scrum or SAFe Agile experience.
- Industry experience in regulated sectors such as finance or healthcare.
