Sales Director – Mid-Market eCommerce

Location: Southern NJ / Hybrid

About the Role

This is the first full-time sales leadership hire for a new growth initiative focused on AI-powered marketing experimentation. We are seeking a self-starter who thrives on building from the ground up, opening doors with mid-market eCommerce brands, and translating cutting-edge AI solutions into measurable business impact.

As the frontline hunter, you will drive new logo acquisition and establish this solution as the go-to experimentation platform for leading eCommerce brands. As traction builds, you will help architect and lead the sales and demand-generation team, shaping the go-to-market playbook for this high-growth business line.


Key Responsibilities

·      Own the end-to-end sales cycle for the AI-Marketing Experimentation solution – from prospecting to closing.

·      Identify and engage mid-market eCommerce decision-makers, including CMOs and Heads of Digital & Growth.

·      Communicate the value of AI-powered experimentation and strategic consulting in solving business challenges such as dormant SKU reactivation, margin optimization, and lapsed-customer reactivation.

·      Build deep, trust-based relationships with clients and internal teams to ensure pilot success and expansion.

·      Partner with leadership to refine GTM strategy, pricing, and positioning based on real-world learnings.

·      As growth accelerates, recruit and mentor a high-performing sales and demand-generation team.


What We’re Looking For

·      5–7 years of consistent quota-crushing performance selling digital marketing or SaaS solutions to eCommerce businesses ($25M–$500M revenue range).

·      Strong hunter DNA – proactive prospector, skilled storyteller, disciplined closer.

·      Entrepreneurial mindset – thrives in ambiguity, builds structure, and scales success.

·      Experience working with C-level decision-makers and translating analytics/AI into business outcomes.

·      A reputation for dependability, integrity, and grit – you do what you say you’ll do.
