Sales Director, AI Marketing Experimentation (Mid-Market to Enterprise eCommerce)

Location

  • Hybrid
  • Must be commutable to Southern New Jersey for periodic in-person meetings

About the Role

E-commerce brands are under pressure to grow, but many traditional levers are no longer delivering.

  • Dormant SKUs that never scale
  • Lapsed customers who do not return
  • Rising acquisition costs with flattening returns
  • Testing that takes too long to prove or kill

This role exists to help ecommerce leaders identify what is holding growth back, then unlock new revenue through AI powered marketing experimentation. You will own new logo acquisition, build pipeline, and close strategic deals with mid market and enterprise ecommerce brands.

What You Will Do

  • Own the full sales cycle from first conversation to close
  • Sell into mid-market and enterprise ecommerce brands
  • Lead consultative, problem first conversations tied to real challenges like dormant SKUs, retention, margin, and inefficient growth bets
  • Engage senior stakeholders including CEOs, CMOs, and Heads of Growth
  • Position AI experimentation as a growth capability, not a tool
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline
  • Partner with internal leadership, strategy, and analytics teams to drive winning proposals and closes

What We Are Looking For

  • Several years of consultative B2B sales experience selling into ecommerce
  • Experience selling digital marketing, MarTech, analytics, or SaaS solutions
  • Proven success selling to C-level buyers
  • Strong hunter mindset with consistent quota performance
  • Comfortable in ambiguity, self directed, and execution focused
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience selling into ecommerce brands $25M to $500M plus
  • Familiarity with Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, and modern ecommerce ecosystems
  • Agency, consulting, MarTech, or analytics platform background
  • Strong interest in AI powered experimentation tied to measurable outcomes
