About the Role

Krieger Scientific is hiring an experienced Project Lead to oversee and support a large scale calibration program for a life sciences client in the Exton, Pennsylvania area.

This is a full time, hourly position scheduled for 40 hours per week and is part of a dedicated Krieger Scientific team supporting the client's calibration program through a staff augmentation engagement.

The Project Lead will serve as the primary onsite lead for the Krieger Scientific team and work closely with client management to organize, prioritize, and support calibration activities across multiple client locations.

This role combines technical calibration knowledge with project leadership, team coordination, client communication, calibration program management, and Continuous Improvement. The Project Lead will provide day to day direction to Calibration Technicians while helping maintain an effective, compliant, and sustainable calibration program.

What You Will Do

• Lead the day to day execution of the client calibration program across multiple nearby facilities.

• Provide daily direction, priorities, and support to Krieger Scientific Calibration Technicians assigned to the client.

• Work closely with client management to develop and maintain a clear plan for calibration activities, schedules, priorities, and resource requirements.

• Manage calibration schedules and work activities to support timely completion of required calibrations.

• Serve as a primary point of contact between Krieger Scientific, client management, Calibration Technicians, and outside calibration providers.

• Maintain visibility into calibration status, upcoming requirements, overdue activities, resource needs, and potential program risks.

• Support the management of a large instrument and equipment population across multiple client locations.

• Oversee calibration records and related documentation to support compliance with Good Documentation Practices, ISO standards, GMP requirements, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

• Support the identification, documentation, escalation, and resolution of out of tolerance conditions, deviations, and other calibration related issues.

• Work with the client and Calibration Technicians to determine which calibration activities can be performed internally and which require specialized outside services.

• Coordinate and manage outside calibration vendors when external services are required.

• Identify opportunities to increase internal calibration capabilities when practical while maintaining appropriate quality and compliance standards.

• Support the effective use and ongoing management of Blue Mountain or other computerized maintenance and calibration management systems used by the client.

• Help maintain accurate equipment records, calibration schedules, work orders, calibration histories, and related information within applicable systems.

• Review calibration activities and documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.

• Monitor workload and priorities across the calibration team and adjust daily activities based on client needs and calibration requirements.

• Identify potential scheduling, staffing, equipment, vendor, or compliance issues and communicate them proactively to Krieger Scientific and client management.

• Identify and lead Continuous Improvement efforts for Krieger Scientific and the client.

• Support the development and improvement of calibration procedures, processes, workflows, and program documentation.

• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, technical excellence, and regulatory compliance.

• Provide hands on calibration support when appropriate based on workload, technical requirements, and client needs.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience developing and overseeing complex projects, implementing program workflows, and determining CAPA actions.

• Strong hands on calibration or instrumentation experience within a GMP regulated life sciences environment, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device.

• Experience leading or coordinating calibration programs, projects, technicians, or technical service activities.

• Strong understanding of calibration practices, standards, traceability requirements, and Good Documentation Practices.

• Working knowledge of GMP requirements and the relationship between calibration, equipment performance, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

• Experience with temperature, pressure, flow, weight, and other critical measurement parameters.

• Experience coordinating calibration schedules, work orders, priorities, and technical resources.

• Experience working with outside calibration vendors and determining when specialized external services are required.

• Ability to identify, document, communicate, and appropriately escalate out of tolerance conditions and other calibration related issues.

• Experience with computerized maintenance or calibration management systems. Experience with Blue Mountain is helpful.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a large instrument population and multiple locations.

• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to identify practical opportunities for Continuous Improvement.

• Strong documentation skills and a disciplined approach to data integrity and regulatory compliance.

• Ability to provide clear direction and support to Calibration Technicians while maintaining a collaborative team environment.

• Strong client communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical personnel, operations, quality, management, and outside service providers.

• Ability to work independently, make sound day to day decisions, and appropriately escalate issues requiring client or Krieger Scientific management involvement.

• Ability and willingness to work across multiple nearby client locations as required.

Requirements

• Project Management discipline certification is a plus (PMP, CSM, Prince2)

• Valid driver's license.

• Reliable transportation.

• Proof of motor vehicle insurance.

• Must meet applicable prescreening health and safety requirements.

• Must successfully complete required drug and alcohol screening.

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Work Schedule and Environment

This is a full time, hourly position scheduled for 40 hours per week.

The position is primarily onsite at client facilities in the Exton, Pennsylvania area. The Project Lead should expect to work across different client locations based on calibration activities, project priorities, and business needs.

The position is intended for a locally based professional and is not structured as an overnight travel assignment.

Compensation

Competitive hourly compensation, commensurate with experience.
