The Role 


We are seeking to appoint an experienced Site Manager who will oversee the delivery of highly bespoke commercial and residential projects across Sydney. 

You will have responsibility and ownership of site operations, whilst having the support of Senior Management as you require. You will have established yourself as a high performing manager, with a significant track record of delivering successful project outcomes. You are passionate about assisting your project team to success, whilst maintaining a standard well above our stake holders’ expectations. 



As a Site Manager, you will be the pivotal point of contact for all site operations, including overseeing the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will coordinate with subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. 

Effective subcontractor and supplier interaction is a core skill; you will build and maintain strong relationships, translating our client’s vision into reality whilst addressing concerns and offering analytical solutions. Responsiveness is key, you will be the point of contact for site issues escalation, and address all stakeholder inquiries and concerns, fostering trust and transparency though the project lifecycle. 

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, conducting regular site inspections, and implementing quality control measures.

Overall, you are passionate about over performing and delivering construction excellence.

 

Roles and Responsibilities 


  • Monitors daily construction works; including reporting of all relevant site activities;
  • Understands the early warning principle with clients and recommends solutions to project teams for site issues;
  • Assists in all design disciplines and ensures that design information is accessible to site team;
  • Guides Site Supervisors in developing short-term programs using relevant programming tools (i.e., MS Project);
  • Ensures that the full suite of project management software i.e., Procore, Sign-On-Site, Microsoft Project etc. is effectively used by site workers;
  • Resolves any issues related to site resources i.e., labour, machinery, materials, sub-contractors etc.;
  • Administers all site visits carried out by various agencies i.e., regulatory bodies, clients, trade unions etc. in a safe, non-conflictive and professional manner;
  • In conjunction with the Project Manager, plans and reviews the overall status of project on a regular basis;
  • Oversees effective planning of procurement of site materials and supplies i.e., reinforcement, concrete etc.;
  • Ensures that community concerns/ matters are timely addressed and closed out;
  • Provides guidance and supervision in all aspects of site operations, as required;
  • Assists project teams in preparing for their completion de-brief meetings to cover lessons learned exercise;
  • Manages site supervisors on site and mentors them, as required;
  • Looks for opportunities to improve project value, and communicates them to the project team;
  • Acceptance to developing new, smart, efficient ways to complete project tasks;
  • Adaptable and responsive to events and their outcomes that occur on a project;
  • Makes timely decisions based on facts whilst managing ambiguity;
  • Motivates and mentors site team members, and assists in performance reviews, when required;
  • Self-leads and manages to effectively deal with unexpected ups and downs of a project life cycle whilst maintaining trust of the others;
