The Company

A proudly Canadian leader in natural health, this organization is dedicated to improving wellness through thoughtfully crafted, science-based supplements. Behind every product is a team committed to innovation and operational excellence. The Systems Team plays a key role in that mission—designing intelligent processes and custom digital tools that connect people, technology, and data across the business. As the company continues to evolve, they are seeking a skilled and inquisitive Data Systems Analyst to help unlock the full potential of their data and support insight-driven decision making.

The Role

The Data Systems Analyst will bridge technical capability with business understanding—making data more accessible, accurate, and actionable across all departments. Collaborating closely with teams such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, and QA, this role will focus on translating complex data into clear insights that drive strategic decisions. The successful candidate will develop dashboards, automate workflows, and ensure data integrity while working within existing systems and databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify business questions, reporting needs, and key metrics.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, combine, and analyse data from internal databases.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI, Google Data Studio, or similar) to support data-driven decisions.
  • Design reusable query templates and enable self-service reporting across departments.
  • Consolidate marketing and external data sources into central reporting structures.
  • Design and maintain ETL workflows or API integrations to automate data collection.
  • Document data sources, structures, and definitions to ensure consistency and governance.
  • Support process documentation, QA testing, and cross-functional collaboration for data-related initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational database querying.
  • Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI or Google Data Studio.
  • Strong understanding of relational database design, data mapping, and analytics principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance multiple projects.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with ETL or automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Airflow, or scripting).
  • Familiarity with APIs, data integrations, or Jira.
  • Experience consolidating marketing or accounting data from multiple platforms.

This is an opportunity to join a purpose-driven company that values curiosity, precision, and collaboration. You’ll play an essential role in shaping how teams access and use data to make smarter, faster decisions—all while contributing to a company dedicated to advancing natural health and wellness.
