The Role

They are seeking an experienced Digital Media Strategist to join their growing Paid Media team. This position is responsible for developing and executing high-performing digital advertising strategies across multiple channels while helping clients achieve ambitious growth objectives. The successful candidate will oversee campaign strategy, optimisation, reporting, and ongoing performance improvements across Search, Social, Programmatic, and Retail Media platforms. They will also play an important role in identifying new opportunities, supporting client relationships, and contributing to the continued success of the wider digital marketing team.


The Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated paid acquisition strategies across Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Paid Social, Programmatic Advertising, and Retail Media.
  • Plan, launch and optimise multi-channel campaigns focused on increasing traffic, conversions, revenue and return on advertising spend.
  • Manage campaign structures, budgets, bidding strategies, audience targeting and creative optimisation to maximise performance.
  • Conduct ongoing A/B testing to improve campaign effectiveness and advertising outcomes.
  • Produce compelling advertising copy and collaborate on creative asset optimisation.
  • Monitor campaign performance using key metrics including ROAS, CPA, CPC, conversion rates, revenue and overall campaign efficiency.
  • Build dashboards and performance reports that provide clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Analyse campaign data to identify optimisation opportunities and implement continuous improvements.
  • Stay informed on new advertising platforms, AI developments, automation tools, algorithm changes and evolving industry trends.
  • Recommend innovative strategies, technologies and testing opportunities to improve client performance.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through additional digital marketing services while working closely with internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in media planning and contribute to new business opportunities where required.


The Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing Paid Media campaigns.
  • Minimum 2 years within an agency environment.
  • Advanced expertise with Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Strong understanding of integrated digital advertising strategies across Search, Paid Social, Display, Programmatic and Retail Media.
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, attribution modelling and campaign tracking.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex performance data and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience creating reporting dashboards using Looker Studio or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
  • Commercial awareness with experience supporting media planning and business development activities.
  • Highly organised with strong project management and prioritisation skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a passion for testing, optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts within an agency environment would be highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
  • English speaking role - proficiency with French is ideal, but not mandatory for success.


The Remuneration

  • Salary expectations: $70,000 - $90,000 CAD
  • Three weeks of annual leave during the first year, increasing to four weeks in the second year and five weeks after three years of service.
  • A 4.5-day working week with Friday afternoons off.
