The Role:


The Senior Video Editor will lead the post-production process for large-scale productions, taking ownership of projects from rough cut through to final delivery. Working closely with the Creative Director, this individual will shape raw footage into high-performing creative pieces, refining narrative, pacing, sound, and visual style to deliver polished, impactful work.

This role requires a strong editorial point of view, technical mastery, and the ability to balance creative instinct with client requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the creative vision while implementing feedback and ensuring all deliverables meet a high standard of craft.

In addition to leading major productions, this role may occasionally support social-first edits during peak workload periods or team coverage needs.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead post-production for large-scale productions from rough cut through final delivery
  • Edit, refine, and assemble footage into compelling narrative-driven content
  • Apply advanced colour grading, sound mixing, motion graphics, and After Effects work
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to refine edits and implement client feedback
  • Maintain and evolve editorial style guidelines across projects
  • Ensure storytelling clarity, emotional pacing, and visual impact in all deliverables
  • Support on-set vision alignment by collaborating with production and creative teams
  • Contribute fresh creative references and ideas from within and outside the advertising industry
  • Provide occasional support on social media edits during peak workload periods
  • Mentor and support junior editors as the team grows


Requirements:


  • 4+ years of professional video editing experience
  • Strong portfolio/reel demonstrating creative storytelling and editorial voice
  • Fluency in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve
  • Experience with colour grading, sound design, and post-production finishing
  • Proficiency in After Effects and motion graphics
  • Strong understanding of pacing, narrative structure, and emotional storytelling
  • Ability to take feedback and translate it into high-quality revisions without losing creative integrity
  • Clear editorial perspective and willingness to push creative boundaries
  • Experience in agency or in-house brand environments considered an asset
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior editors considered an asset
