York, helping to redefine how modern B2B companies manage billing and revenue infrastructure. They're focused on building revenue-critical systems that power complex financial workflows. The platform is already trusted by customers, yet remains early enough for engineers to shape foundational architecture and influence long-term technical direction.

The Roles

This organization is hiring both Frontend Engineers and Backend Engineers at the mid-level and senior levels. These roles will play a critical part in designing and delivering the systems that power modern billing infrastructure. They don't hire for lanaguage- they're looking for keen learners and people with strong software fundamentals. They're confident in teaching you what you don't already know.

Frontend Engineers will own and ship intuitive, high-impact product experiences used daily by finance and operations teams. From configurable approval workflows to intelligent automation tools driven by natural language inputs, this role blends strong product thinking with technical execution.

Backend Engineers will focus on architecting and scaling the revenue-critical infrastructure that underpins billing accuracy. Working primarily in Kotlin and Spring Boot, they will design high-throughput event streaming pipelines, scalable data systems, and resilient distributed services where reliability and correctness are non-negotiable.

Both roles offer meaningful ownership, influence over architectural decisions, and the opportunity to build systems that must scale 10x without compromising performance or cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Kotlin experience is a big plus for backend developers.
• Experience working with multiple software languages such as Python, Ruby, Typescript, Java etc.
• Front end engineers need TypeScript and React.
• Proven experience building production software in either frontend or backend domains
• Strong system design fundamentals and understanding of scalability
• Experience with distributed systems or event-driven architectures
• Comfort working in ambiguity within a scaling environment
• Clear, thoughtful communication skills
• Google Cloud, Terraform
• Nice to have (Backend): deep relational database and query optimization expertise
