The Company

As the studio continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced COO / Executive Producer to join the senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping how the business operates, scales and delivers.

The Role

The COO / Executive Producer will hold a broad leadership position spanning studio operations, production, commercial strategy and executive-level client relationships. They will be responsible for ensuring the studio has the people, processes, production discipline and operational infrastructure required to deliver complex AAA projects successfully while supporting the wider growth and commercial objectives of the business. This is not purely a production leadership role. They will operate as a senior business leader, working closely with the executive team to translate company strategy into execution, strengthen operational performance and ensure the studio can scale sustainably. They will also serve as a senior point of contact for key partners, building trusted relationships with publishers and platform holders while ensuring expectations around scope, quality, timelines and commercial commitments are effectively managed. The position is fully remote and would suit an established AAA gaming leader who combines exceptional production experience with strong commercial and operational judgement.

The Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across studio operations, production and project delivery, translating company strategy and commercial objectives into clear operational priorities.
• Oversee the successful delivery of multiple complex AAA projects, maintaining accountability for scope, schedules, budgets, resources, quality and overall project health.
• Establish, optimise and scale production frameworks, operational processes and studio-wide ways of working to improve efficiency, predictability and delivery.
• Lead capacity planning, resource allocation and forecasting across the studio, ensuring teams are structured appropriately against current projects and future commitments.
• Partner with senior creative, technical, production and functional leaders to align teams around priorities, milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
• Identify and resolve production and operational risks early, making informed decisions around scope, resources, timelines and priorities when required.
• Own executive-level relationships with major publishers, platform holders and external partners, managing expectations and navigating complex production and commercial discussions.
• Support business development and commercial strategy, including project evaluation, scoping, budgeting, resourcing, forecasting and new partnership opportunities.
• Partner with the executive team on studio growth, organisational design, financial planning, hiring strategy and long-term operational planning.
• Lead, mentor and develop senior production and operational leaders, establishing clear accountability and building a high-performing, scalable leadership structure.

The Requirements

• Significant senior leadership experience within the AAA gaming industry, ideally at Executive Producer, Head of Production, Studio Director, COO or an equivalent level.
• Proven experience successfully delivering large-scale AAA titles or complex development programmes across the full lifecycle, from pre-production through launch and post-launch.
• Strong experience developing for console platforms, with specific experience across Nintendo Switch highly desirable and Nintendo Switch 2 experience considered a significant advantage.
• Deep understanding of third-party, co-development or work-for-hire studio environments and the operational and commercial requirements of delivering for external partners.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with major publishers, platform holders and globally recognised gaming brands at a senior level.
• Exceptional production leadership capabilities, including oversight of multiple projects, distributed teams, competing priorities, milestones and complex dependencies.
• Strong operational and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, project profitability and broader financial decision-making.
• Proven ability to establish and scale production processes, operational frameworks and reporting structures within complex or growing development organisations.
• Strong executive-level communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, with the credibility to manage high-value client and partner relationships.
• Proven ability to lead and develop senior teams while operating effectively across creative, technical, production, operational and commercial functions in a remote environment.
