The Role:


The Director of Retail Media is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and scaling a client-facing retail media services function. This role leads strategy, service delivery, and operational execution across multiple retail media platforms, ensuring consistently high standards of performance and satisfaction. Working closely with cross-functional partners, the Director will guide teams, optimize processes, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, balancing innovation with disciplined execution.


Responsibilities:


  • Define and execute the overall retail media services strategy aligned to business objectives
  • Oversee end-to-end service delivery, ensuring campaigns meet performance, quality, and efficiency standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary managed services teams
  • Establish scalable processes, workflows, and operational best practices
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Act as an escalation point for complex client or delivery issues
  • Partner with sales, product, data, and marketing teams on solutions and growth initiatives
  • Own performance reporting, insights, and optimization recommendations
  • Manage budgets, resource planning, and financial performance for the function
  • Track and report on KPIs related to service delivery, client satisfaction, and profitability


Requirements:


  • 10+ years of experience in retail media, digital advertising, or managed services
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles overseeing service delivery or operations
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional, client-facing teams
  • Strong understanding of retail media ecosystems and performance marketing
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to senior audiences
  • Experience driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement
