A fast-scaling Australian events and media organisation that has evolved from a niche B2B publisher into one of the country’s most recognised and ambitious portfolio owners. With national recognition for growth and a rapidly expanding owned-events model, the business is investing in stronger internal capability to bring greater discipline, accountability, and commercial rigour to digital performance.


This role has been created to establish clear ownership of digital outcomes as performance marketing shifts from an agency-led support function to a core commercial lever.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and uphold digital performance standards across paid media, websites, and conversion journeys
  • Step directly into campaign setup, optimisation, and diagnostics for priority or underperforming campaigns
  • Lead agency governance including briefing quality, pacing, QA, and performance accountability
  • Diagnose CPA, CPL, CVR, and lead quality issues and implement corrective action
  • Define channel mix, targeting logic, creative testing, and attribution standards
  • Own website, landing page, and CRO standards to improve conversion efficiency
  • Coordinate SEO and GEO priorities with technical and development partners
  • Translate performance data into clear, commercial recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Establish reporting frameworks and dashboards that drive decision-making
  • Support growth tooling, pilots, and new initiatives across the portfolio
  • Escalate persistent performance or delivery risks when outcomes are at stake


Desired Skills and Attributes

  • 5+ years’ hands-on performance marketing experience in B2B or high-consideration environments
  • Strong capability across paid media, CRO, SEO, attribution, and conversion funnels
  • Comfortable intervening directly in live campaigns when performance is at risk
  • Proven experience challenging agencies and internal stakeholders constructively
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to diagnose issues beyond surface-level reporting
  • Confident operating in matrixed environments where influence outweighs authority
  • Pragmatic, decisive, and motivated by outcomes rather than optics
