A high-growth Australian events and media organisation that has evolved from a niche B2B publisher into a nationally recognised portfolio owner. With continued expansion and increasing commercial complexity, the business is strengthening its internal capability to ensure marketing data is governed, trusted, and fit for scale.
This role has been created to bring clear ownership, structure, and credibility to marketing data as it becomes a critical foundation for performance, decision-making, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute day-to-day marketing data operations across Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Manage data hygiene including imports, deduplication, segmentation logic, and audience integrity
- Define and enforce naming conventions, taxonomy, folder structures, and data definitions
- Establish, maintain, and protect a clear source of truth for marketing and customer data
- Build and maintain dashboards providing visibility into data health and audience quality
- Monitor audience growth, engagement, unsubscribes, and conversion impact
- Identify data risks, gaps, and inconsistencies and resolve them pragmatically
- Ensure campaign data is accurate, compliant, and ready for execution
- Challenge data requests that risk deliverability, compliance, or long-term integrity
- Partner with marketing, performance, and commercial stakeholders to improve decision-making
- Create documentation and repeatable processes without over-engineering
Desired Skills and Attributes
- Proven experience owning or leading a marketing data function
- Hands-on capability across CRM and ESP data operations
- Strong experience establishing data standards and governance from the ground up
- Ability to translate technical concepts into practical guidance for non-technical stakeholders
- Confidence challenging senior stakeholders when data integrity is at risk
- Commercially minded with strong judgement and prioritisation skills
- Comfortable operating at pace without perfect information
- Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud highly regarded
- SQL capability advantageous but not essential
