This is a business that has scaled rapidly and is now feeling the impact of that growth.

Quality has slipped. Developers are stretched. Testing is inconsistent.

For the first time, they are introducing a dedicated QA Engineer to bring structure, ownership and discipline to how quality is managed across the platform.

The Role

You will sit embedded within the engineering team, working closely with developers, tech leads and product to ensure quality is built into every stage of delivery.

This is a hands-on role where you will introduce proper testing practices, improve automation, and bring consistency to how releases are validated.

You will:

• Own testing across the development lifecycle
• Design and execute manual and automated test strategies
• Improve test coverage and introduce structure to QA practices
• Identify risks early and ensure defects are resolved properly
• Work closely with engineers to embed quality into design and development
• Contribute to building out future QA frameworks, tooling and processes

Right now, QA is being done by developers and it is not working. This role exists to fix that.

Longer term, this will evolve into building out a QA function.

What They Are Looking For

• Experience as a QA Engineer within a SaaS or product environment
• Strong understanding of manual and automated testing practices
• Experience working in agile engineering teams
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and improving test coverage
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and how QA integrates into them
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with engineers
• 
  

This is not a pure manual tester and not a pure automation engineer. They need someone comfortable across both.
