Their products operate in some of the harshest conditions on earth, supporting applications ranging from subsea robotics through to autonomous vehicles and advanced defence systems.
With continued growth across global markets, the business is expanding its Product Engineering capability in Sydney. They are looking for experienced engineers who enjoy building real, physical products and taking them from concept through to scalable manufacturing.
This is an opportunity to work alongside a highly capable multidisciplinary engineering team developing sophisticated hardware and firmware systems deployed worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and contribute to the development of complex hardware products from concept through to production
• Work closely with firmware, hardware and systems engineers within a multidisciplinary product team
• Design and develop electronic systems including PCB architecture and integration with embedded firmware
• Support product verification, validation and reliability testing
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure products are ready for high-volume production
• Identify technical risks early and implement robust engineering solutions
• Contribute to improving engineering processes, testing frameworks and development workflows
• Work alongside product managers and technical architects to deliver against product roadmaps
Key Requirements
• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Biomedical Engineering or similar
• Strong experience developing physical hardware products
• Experience with PCB design and tools such as Altium or similar platforms
• Exposure to embedded systems and firmware development environments
• Experience with verification, validation and testing of electronic products
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Experience supporting products through manufacturing scale-up or production transfer
• Strong problem solving skills and a practical engineering mindset
Desirable Experience
• Experience working in robotics, defence, medical devices, aerospace or advanced electronics environments
• Exposure to automation systems, testing frameworks or manufacturing test systems
• Experience working with design controls, FMEA or structured engineering processes
• Programming exposure such as Python, C++ or LabVIEW
