The role coordinates cost estimates, schedules, regulatory submittals, and design tracking, while assisting with construction support and closeout activities. A strong growth path toward a full PM role.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate change management processes and coordinate project funding/work order setup, as directed by PM
- Draft initial project schedules and cost estimates at successive levels of design completion, for PM review
- Submit regulatory, environmental, and right-of-way approval requests; schedule project kickoff and progress meetings
- Develop scope of work documents and support preliminary budget development, for PM review
- Track design packages through all major completion milestones
- Assist with contract request entry, compliance and qualification tracking, and contractor evaluation processes
- Develop project safety documentation; coordinate pre-construction and inspection kickoff meetings
- Support punchlist resolution, commissioning, handover, and project closeout
- Obtain warranty documentation; support lessons-learned reviews and surplus material disposition
- Conduct monthly cost coding; support contract value tracking during construction and closeout
Qualifications
- 1–5 years' experience in project coordination, project controls, or assistant project management (infrastructure or energy construction preferred)
- Familiarity with project lifecycle phases, scheduling, and cost estimating
- Strong organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple workstreams
- Proficiency with project management software
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
