Estimator – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)

Overview
We are supporting an established electrical and industrial services contractor seeking an Estimator to support the development of accurate, competitive cost estimates across industrial, energy, and infrastructure projects.
This role works closely with the Estimating Manager and project teams to build detailed estimates that reflect real-world execution, productivity, and project conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
- Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and models using tools such as Bluebeam and Navisworks
- Support development of conceptual budgets and bid packages
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and scope alignment
- Assist in developing execution plans, labor curves, and project assumptions during the bid phase
- Identify risks, gaps, and scope inconsistencies within bid documents
- Support estimate reviews and bid submissions to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Participate in estimate handoffs to project teams
Qualifications
- 3–8+ years of estimating experience within Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) or related construction scopes
- Experience supporting industrial, energy, or large-scale construction projects preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and takeoff tools such as Bluebeam (Navisworks a plus)
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and field execution
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously
- Strong communication and coordination skills
