About the Job
The Electrical Engineer will design and develop complex electronic systems to drive pulsed power and fusion technologies. The role involves circuit design, PCB layout, and hands-on system integration in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop PCB schematics and layouts using Altium Designer or similar tools.
- Simulate and test electrical circuits using SPICE or equivalent simulation software.
- Configure and manage Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems for experimental setups.
- Work with sensors, calibration systems, and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with engineers across mechanical, systems, and software disciplines.
- Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and technical reports.
- Support system-level testing and validation.
- Travel occasionally to partner or test facilities as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year of PCB schematic and layout experience.
- 1+ year of experience with circuit simulation (SPICE).
- Experience with DAQ configuration and operation.
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours or weekends as needed.
- Must meet U.S. export compliance requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible under ITAR).
Preferred:
- Proficiency in C++ programming.
- Experience in high-voltage or pulsed power systems.
