LOCATION: San Leandro, CA (Bay Area)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time; ON-SITE

COMPENSATION: $75K - 175K

EQUITY: Yes; structured on a case-by-case basis

About the Job

The Electrical Engineer will design and develop complex electronic systems to drive pulsed power and fusion technologies. The role involves circuit design, PCB layout, and hands-on system integration in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop PCB schematics and layouts using Altium Designer or similar tools.
  • Simulate and test electrical circuits using SPICE or equivalent simulation software.
  • Configure and manage Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems for experimental setups.
  • Work with sensors, calibration systems, and instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers across mechanical, systems, and software disciplines.
  • Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and technical reports.
  • Support system-level testing and validation.
  • Travel occasionally to partner or test facilities as needed.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of PCB schematic and layout experience.
  • 1+ year of experience with circuit simulation (SPICE).
  • Experience with DAQ configuration and operation.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours or weekends as needed.
  • Must meet U.S. export compliance requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible under ITAR).


Preferred:

  • Proficiency in C++ programming.
  • Experience in high-voltage or pulsed power systems.
