Meet Friends for Health in Haiti

Friends for Health in Haiti is a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate medical care and sustainable development to the underserved communities of Haiti. Founded in 2006 by Dr. Catherine Wolf, the organization operates an outpatient clinic, the Centre de Santé de Gatineau, located in a remote mountainous region south of Jérémie. Their holistic approach extends beyond traditional medicine to address the root causes of poor health through diverse initiatives, including clean water and sanitation programs, agricultural and livestock projects like the "Goat Program," and spiritual ministry. By utilizing a "bottom-up" community-based model, Friends for Health in Haiti focuses on empowering local residents and fostering long-term resilience, ensuring that their medical and livelihood programs create a lasting positive impact on the populations they serve.
