Meet Southwest Covenant Schools
Founded in 1982, Southwest Covenant Schools is a thriving, non-denominational Christian school community serving students from PreKindergarten through 12th grade in Yukon, OK. With an enrollment of approximately 554 students and a dedicated team of 73 faculty and staff members, the school is committed to cultivating both academic excellence and spiritual formation within a close-knit, relational environment.
Southwest Covenant exists as a discipleship-centered ministry, partnering with families to educate and equip students to influence the world for Christ. While the school is not formally affiliated with a denomination, it is firmly grounded in a biblical worldview, aligns with the statement of faith of Covenant Community Church (CCC), and flourishes under the spiritual authority of CCC.
The school is known for its intentional community culture, where students are genuinely known, supported, and challenged to grow intellectually, spiritually, and personally. Smaller class sizes allow faculty to provide individualized attention and meaningful mentorship throughout a student’s educational journey.
Academically, Southwest Covenant integrates rigorous instruction with biblical truth, encouraging students to think critically and faithfully across every discipline. Outside the classroom, students have opportunities to develop their gifts through a wide range of extracurricular offerings, including fine arts, athletics, leadership programs, and student activities. The school continues to invest in its programs and campus experience, including recently completed athletic facilities featuring a state-of-the-art football field.
At its core, Southwest Covenant Schools is a place where students are encouraged to discover their identity in Christ, pursue excellence with purpose, and graduate prepared to lead and serve faithfully in their communities and beyond.
