About the Youth Pastor

The Youth Pastor role at Crossroads Ministries centers on relational discipleship, walking alongside middle and high school students as they grow in faith and discover their place in a life-giving church community. This position calls for a teachable, biblically grounded leader who loves pouring into youth and thrives in a collaborative, high-excellence environment where no ministry operates in isolation.

  • Volunteer Team Building: Recruit, equip, and shepherd a team of adult volunteers who can teach, carry vision, and care for students.
  • Equipping Youth to Serve: Actively train and empower students to develop their spiritual gifts and serve throughout all ministries in the church.
  • Weekly Gathering Execution: Direct Thursday night (HS & MS) and Sunday morning (MS) youth gatherings, including teaching sessions and breakout small groups.
  • Curriculum Implementation and Management: Implement and adapt established teaching curriculum for weekly youth series.
  • Outreach & Event Coordination: Plan invitational, event-driven outreach initiatives to engage unchurched youth.
  • Camps and Retreats: Organize logistics, preparation, and student participation for annual retreats and summer camps.
  • Kids Ministry Partnership: Collaborate closely with the Kids Ministry team to build a cohesive discipleship pathway from childhood through high school without operating in a silo.
  • All-Hands Operational Serving: Participate in general churchwide serving and event support alongside the rest of the staff.
