About the College Pastor

We are seeking a dynamic, relational, and spiritually mature College Pastor to lead, shepherd, and grow our thriving college ministry. The ideal candidate will have a heart for evangelism and discipleship, a strong understanding of college culture (especially within the Texas A&M context), and the ability to lead and develop student leaders and volunteers

The College Pastor’s responsibilities include:

• Provide visionary leadership and direction for the college ministry.

• Teach regularly in large group settings with clarity, depth, and Gospel-centered focus.

• Develop and disciple student leaders and volunteers.

• Create opportunities for outreach, evangelism, and community engagement on the Texas A&M campus and beyond.

• Foster meaningful relationships with students through presence, pastoral care, and mentoring.

• Collaborate with church staff to integrate college ministry into the broader mission of the church.

• Plan and execute events, retreats, mission trips, and service opportunities.

What you bring

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the College Pastor:

  • A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a life marked by spiritual maturity and integrity.
  • Passion for reaching and discipling college students.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; theological education or seminary preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in college or student ministry preferred.
  • Experience working at a large church would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills.
  • Ability to recruit, train, and lead teams of volunteers.
  • A strong understanding of college ministry trends and challenges, especially within a public university setting like Texas A&M.
