Meet Tates Creek Christian Church
For nearly 80 years, Tates Creek Christian Church has been a cornerstone of faith and fellowship in Lexington. Founded in 1945, our mission has remained clear: to share God’s love, build meaningful connections, and help people grow in Christ. From humble beginnings to the vibrant community we are today, TCCC has always been more than a building—it’s a family where faith is lived out, lives are transformed, and relationships flourish. We’re honored to carry this legacy forward and invite you to be part of the story God is writing here.
Tates Creek Christian Church comes out of the Restoration Movement that occurred just up the road from here in 1801 at Cain Ridge. Our church will be celebrating 80 years of service and ministry to the Lexington community. We greatly support local and global missions with support for local schools (three of which are in our building), retirement communities, Ethiopia, Mexico, and other areas around the globe. Our mission is to make disciples of all people for Christ. We do this with a vision to be God’s people, transformed by the Gospel of Christ, into an irresistible community of love, discipleship, and service. In the last three years we have steadily grown by 7% per year. We recently renovated our lobby, worship center, and kid’s area. We are proud of the past but are looking forward to continuing to reach the lost in Lexington.
