Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Bankruptcy Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bankruptcy proceedings, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements of financial affairs, and other court filings.
• Conduct legal research related to bankruptcy laws and procedures.
• Communicate with clients to gather and organize relevant documents and information.
• Monitor case progress and maintain case files in an organized manner.
• Prepare for and attend 341 meetings and court hearings, providing support to attorneys as needed.
• Liaise with trustees, creditors, and court personnel.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, specifically in bankruptcy law.
• Strong understanding of the Bankruptcy Code and federal court procedures.
• Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
