Personal Injury Paralegal 

Location: Westbury, NY

Schedule: Full-time, hybrid

Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 Per Year

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal (Plaintiff Side). This role will provide critical support to attorneys throughout all stages of personal injury cases, from intake through settlement or trial.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as complaints, discovery responses, subpoenas, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Manage case files and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
• Coordinate depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and court appearances.
• Request, analyze, and summarize medical records and billing statements.
• Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates and obtain necessary information.
• Monitor case deadlines and ensure all filings are completed in a timely manner.
• Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and related materials for hearings and trials.
• Assist in negotiating and finalizing lien resolutions and settlements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm.
• Strong knowledge of personal injury litigation, legal procedures, and terminology.
• Proficiency in legal case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with attorneys, clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
• Paralegal certificate or associate’s/bachelor’s degree preferred.
