Commercial Litigation Paralegal
Location: Garden City, NY
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (Day Shift, Hybrid: 4 days in the office)
Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000 Per Year
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join a busy and dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-stakes litigation while working in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case intake through trial and appeal.
- Draft, review, and edit pleadings, discovery materials, subpoenas, and legal correspondence.
- Manage and organize case files, exhibits, discovery, and evidence.
- Conduct factual and legal research, including review of statutes, case law, and regulations.
- Assist with e-discovery, document production, and analysis of large volumes of records.
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial logistics.
- Track and maintain deadlines, filing requirements, and case calendars.
- Liaise with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court staff as needed.
- Prepare trial binders, witness kits, and exhibits for courtroom proceedings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate (ABA-approved program preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, with commercial litigation strongly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal court rules, discovery practices, and filing procedures.
- Skilled with legal research platforms (LexisNexis, Westlaw) and e-discovery tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
