Welder

Compensation: $23-26/hour  

Job Type: Full time, morning shift

Location: Waterloo, IA

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join a team in Waterloo, IA.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of fabrication equipment, including hand plasma cutters, saws, brake presses, and deburring machines.
• Weld high-quality parts according to blueprint specifications, using jigs when available, and maintain production efficiency standards.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures in every aspect of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Skilled in laying out and fabricating parts as needed.
• Must successfully complete an on-site MIG weld test prior to placement.
• Proficient in measuring and converting fractions, decimals, and angles.
• Experienced with precision measurement tools, including squares, angle squares, calipers, and tape measures (accurate to 1/32”).
• Capable of using hand and power tools such as wrenches, air tools, and grinders, and of safely operating overhead cranes for steel handling and lifting.
• Forklift experience preferred; training available for qualified candidates.
