Location: Hardin, Montana

We have partnered closely with a premier regional healthcare association to recruit full-time, Board Certified Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) with dedicated emergency medicine experience. The facility offers an autonomous practice environment with a highly manageable patient volume. Positions are available across multiple shifts, with the dedicated overnight rotation being the top priority for the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality emergency and acute healthcare services to a highly diverse, mixed patient population across all genders, ages, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds, including both insured and uninsured individuals.
  • Serve as the sole on-site medical provider during overnight shifts, managing a 7-room Emergency Department independently with administrative and clinical physician support available on call (physicians are on call only, not on site overnight).
  • Manage a highly comfortable, low-intensity clinical pace, with the Emergency Department
  • Provide medical coverage, independent assessments, and daily rounding for the facility's low-volume inpatient unit
  • Complete all medical records in a timely manner daily, ensuring meticulous and accurate entries on client transactions, orders, test results, and progress notes to guarantee seamless continuity of care.
  • Remain available to answer questions and provide consultation to all hospital staff during working hours, including triaging telephone calls and coordinating necessary patient referrals.
  • Participate actively in provider staff meetings, peer reviews, and comprehensive quality improvement processes including routine record auditing to ensure facility protocols and quality assurance benchmarks are met.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Active, unrestricted Montana state licensure as an APRN or PA (or immediate eligibility to obtain)
  • National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
  • Previous, dedicated experience working in an Emergency Department is strictly required due to the autonomous nature of the shifts
  • Current CPR certification required; ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications are required (the facility will provide training to acquire or renew these if necessary)
  • Strong clinical confidence, independent decision-making skills, and the ability to run an emergency department autonomously

Benefits:

  • $10,000 sign-on bonus structured to support your transition, with half paid in your first paycheck and the remaining half awarded at six months
  • Focused practice scope dedicated exclusively to acute care, with zero outpatient or primary care clinic time required
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans covering preventative and specialized care
  • Malpractice insurance coverage fully provided by the employer
  • Robust retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions

Note on Compensation: The listed compensation range represents the standard scale from the starting base rate to the maximum experienced tier. Final hourly compensation will be verified and determined by the organization based on your documented years of advanced practice clinical experience.
