Nurse Practitioner - Behavioral Health
Compensation: $150K-$165K
Our Client a top teaching hospital in New York City, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for providing professional, clinical, educational, supervisory, and administrative support in patient care within their scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous, comprehensive care, including preventive and supportive services to patients and families.
- Manage health issues and coordinate care for various patient populations.
- Diagnose conditions and implement therapeutic measures, distinguishing normal and abnormal health findings.
- Develop partnerships with community organizations and refer to physicians or other professionals as needed.
- Evaluate patient data to plan and implement nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine treatment for improved outcomes.
- Formulate diagnoses and care plans based on patient assessments and medical history.
- Order, interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe treatments.
- Document patient information and maintain coordinated care records.
- Serve as a resource for nursing staff.
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives in the specialty.
- Seek feedback for performance enhancement.
- Provide clinical instruction to staff, students, and community groups.
- Participate in research and healthcare studies.
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners and students.
- Help achieve hospital goals for quality and safety.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid New York State RN license and current registration.
- Nurse Practitioner certification from NYSED.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA.
