Commercial Litigation Associate
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $180,000–$225,000 per year (based on experience) + potential bonus and merit-based increases

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of sophisticated commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct detailed legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other essential litigation documents.
- Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and appeals.
- Participate in depositions and discovery, including e-discovery processes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Stay current with developments in commercial law, litigation strategy, and procedural rules.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy and provide practical business-oriented legal advice.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active Bar admission in New York and eligibility to waive into New Jersey.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation at a sophisticated law firm or corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of the New York CPLR, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and relevant case law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and litigation document management software.
- Experience with electronic discovery and case management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and independently.
Compensation & Benefits
