Real Estate Associate Attorney

Location: Roseland, NJ

Compensation: $155,000–$210,000 per year (based on experience) + discretionary bonus and merit-based increases

Job Type: Full-time | Hybrid (office and client-facing work as required)

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial real estate agreements, including purchase and sale contracts, leases, financing documents, and development agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence, coordinate with counterparties, and manage closings for complex real estate transactions.
  • Provide counsel on zoning, land use, title, and regulatory matters.
  • Assist with projects involving transactional and business law, as well as environmental and environmental insurance issues.
  • Work on transactions involving multiple asset classes such as multi-family, retail, office, and industrial properties.
  • Support land development, construction, 1031 exchanges, and partnership or deal structuring.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to ongoing business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the New Jersey Bar; New York Bar admission preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions.
  • Proven drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently while working collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with financing, zoning, and development structures a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $155,000–$210,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
