Associate Bankruptcy Attorney

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $200,000 – $315,000 per year

We are seeking a talented Associate Attorney with experience in bankruptcy law to join a nationally recognized firm. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile bankruptcy and restructuring matters while developing expertise in a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters.
• Represent clients in bankruptcy court and adversary proceedings.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses with precision.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on complex bankruptcy issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple practice areas to resolve insolvency and restructuring cases.
• Maintain strong client communication and build long-term relationships.
• Support litigation matters related to bankruptcy and insolvency.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in bankruptcy law.
• Active admission to the New York State Bar (required; additional admissions a plus).
• Strong academic record with excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Litigation experience preferred, but not required.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
